Dec 8, 2023

Monaco Increase Management’s David Vidales has made a noteworthy impact in the recent Preseason Rookie Test sessions of the Japan´s Super Formula, held at the iconic Suzuka circuit on December 6, 7, and 8.

Despite facing challenges with the chassis throughout the season in the Japanese Super Formula Lights with the B-Max team, Vidales, recognized for his exceptional skill, received a distinguished invitation to join the prestigious Vantelin Team Tom’s for the preseason tests. This team, whose driver Ritomo Miyata was crowned the champion of the Super Formula in 2023, provided Vidales with the opportunity to showcase his prowess behind the wheel.

In Sessions 5 and 6 of the third and final day of testing, Vidales demonstrated exceptional performance. In Session 5, he secured the seventh position with an impressive time of 1’38.479. Session 6 saw Vidales stand out even more, reaching the fifth position with a time of 1’37.779, just three-tenths behind the leader, Ben Barnocoat.

Despite the challenges faced during the season, Vidales showcased impressive pace and remarkable adaptation to the single-seater, revealing his innate ability as he climbed into the vehicle for the first time. These results reinforce Vidales‘ position as a competitor to be reckoned with in the exciting world of motorsport.

“Undoubtedly, the best experience I’ve had so far in a race car. Today has been a day of significant learning, understanding the brakes, the turbo, and the amount of grip this car has -said the young talent from León-. Happy with how the day has progressed and being less than three tenths of the best time of the session, still having much room for improvement and things to learn.”

Monaco Increase Management continues to support Vidales on his journey to success, confident that his talent and dedication will open new opportunities in his sporting career.
