PASCAL WEHRLEIN GEARS UP FOR DIRIYAH DESERT ENCOUNTER IN SAUDI ARABIA

Jan 24, 2024

FIA Formula E World Championship leader Pascal Wehrlein aims to continue his sensational start to the season this coming weekend as the MIM-contracted driver lines up on the grid for the double-header event in the desert atmosphere of Diriyah in Saudi Arabia.

The 29-year-old German-Mauritian got his 2024 campaign off to the best possible start two weeks ago in Mexico City when he added a dominant win to his Julius Baer pole position to take home a haul of 28 points from the opening round.

The TAG-Heuer Porsche driver is no stranger to success either at the 2.49 km, 21-turn track on the outskirts of the Saudi capital, Riyadh as exactly twelve months ago he took both wins to head the points table.

Pascal has once again begun the year positively and takes his Mexico confidence and form into the two illuminated night races around the mud-brick architecture of the UNESCO World Heritage site circuit. At Diriyah, he will have to hold off numerous rivals, starting with team-mate Antonio Felix Da Costa, Sébastien Buemi (Envision) and 2023 champion, Andretti Formula E’s Jake Dennis.

The schedule gets underway on Thursday with free practice and continues on Friday and Saturday with free practice, qualifying and the two races.

Stay tuned to our social media channels or follow Pascal live on TV worldwide as Season 10 of the electric Formula E series continues.
