MIM-contracted Pascal Wehrlein returned to the top step of the podium with a commanding victory in Round 12 of the FIA Formula E World Championship at the Shanghai E-Prix.

Starting from pole position, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team driver controlled the race from the front and executed a perfectly timed PIT BOOST strategy before heavy rain brought out the Safety Car. Following the restart, Wehrlein pulled clear of the field to secure his 10th Formula E career victory.

The result ends a three-race points drought for the reigning World Champion and moves him to within just three points of the championship lead with another race to come in Shanghai on Sunday.
