After carving out a successful career in karting with four consecutive podium finishes in World Championships, Vidales will conduct several testing days at the wheel of a Campos Racing’s Dallara F3 car thanks to Monaco Increase Management in the coming weeks.
Campos Racing is delighted to announce that Spanish ace David Vidales will join the team to carry out an intensive testing programme, which is scheduled over the coming weeks. Supporting Spanish young talents has been always high on the agenda of Campos Racing as their past proves with well-known drivers such as Fernando Alonso, Antonio García or Alex Palou.
Besides, Vidales will also get represented by Monaco Increase Management from now onwards. Monaco Increase Management, founded and managed by Salvatore Gandolfo, supports motorsport drivers at the beginning, during and after their careers. Gandolfo is also a partner of Campos Racing.
Vidales, aged 17 and born in Leon (Spain), took the Vice-Championship title in the KZ2 World Championship last weekend. Vidales, who has stepped onto the rostrum of the World Championships for four consecutive years battling at the top against 130 drivers from around the world, showed once again his merit and talent at the South Garda Karting in Lonato (Italy). In past seasons, he was also a podium finisher in famous races such as the Trofeo delle Industrie and the Andrea Margutti Trophy.
After such impressive achievements in karting, Vidales will make the step up to single-seaters carrying out private test sessions with a Campos Racing’s Dallara F312. Spaniard Palou, who is also represented by Monaco Increase Management, will assist Vidales at the test as he is an experienced and skilled driver coach.
David Vidales (Driver of Campos Racing): “I’m excited and motivated joining this new whole project. I am also infinitely grateful to Salvatore and Adrián. I am proud they have entrusted me with the opportunity and, of course, I am going to rise to the occasion. I’m looking forward to starting working with the team in order to address the challenges together.”
