Monaco, July 11th – Monaco Increase Management driver Pascal Wehrlein concluded his New York racing weekend with a solid fourth place in the eleventh round of the ABB Formula E series. The German-Mauritian driver had qualified in the top six in both the Saturday and Sunday events, which enabled him to fight for pole position. In Race 1, though, he had to be content with a third row slot, but his race was no consolation as it ended abruptly after a few laps when he could not avoid to run into the back of another car under braking. Undeterred, Pascal was second fastest in the Sunday qualifying session and after the Top Six battle he ended up with a fourth starting grid position. He ran P4 or P5 for most of the race, and in the final laps he managed to keep pressure on Da Costa, eventually gaining a position over a struggling Mitch Evans. Wehrlein’s team-mate at Tag Heuer Porsche, André Lotterer, finished fifth right behind the MIM’s driver, thus completing a good day for the Team. The series now heads back to Europe for the final rounds in London and Berlin.
