Just one day after David Vidales’ success at Imola (and only one week since Pascal Wehrlein’s podium in the Rome e-prix), another Monaco Increase Management driver took the most prestigious win. Alex Palou crossed the finish line first in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama on the Barber circuit, to become the first Spaniard to win in the series under the IndyCar denomination. Palou’s success came courtesy of his fine driving, which allowed his Ganassi Racing team to execute a perfect two-stop strategy in the 90-laps race, saving fuel to delay the first pit call and pushing when needed to fend off threats from Will Power, Scott Dixon and Pato O’Ward. The 24-year old from Sant Antoni de Vilamajor couldn’t have hoped for a better result on his debut with Ganassi Racing, which marks the beginning of his second season in the American racing series. He had been quick since the beginning of the weekend, entering the top six final round of qualifying and starting from third place on the grid in his #10 Honda-powered Dallara car. The whole staff at Monaco Increase Management congratulates him!
