Monaco, January 9th, 2022 – MIM driver and reigning Indycar champion Alex Palou will drive for the Ganassi Racing effort at the prestigious Daytona 24 Hours race on January 29 and 30. All the pieces have fallen into place now since Alex first drove in a private test last December-and he was so determined to participate in the project that he willingly interrupted his vacation at home to fly back to the US. The 24-years-old Spaniard will share the cockpit of the #01 Cadillac Dpi-V.R with fellow drivers Scott Dixon, Sébastien Bourdais and Renger van der Zande. The twenty-four hours event has been held since 1962 but it will be an all-new challenge for Palou, who is more accustomed to open-wheel racing. This is why Alex has been preparing for such a long time as Ganassi is gunning for their first outright win since 2015. In addition to that, Palou has announced that he will also dispute the “virtual” Le mans 24 hours alongside many F1 drivers such as newly crowned champ Max Verstappen.
