Hockenheim, November 7/8 – Monaco Increase Management driver David Vidales scored points in both races during an eventful weekend at Hockenheim, which marked the penultimate round of the Eurocup Formula Renault championship. Neither qualifying session went particularly well for the young Spanish driver and his JD Motorsport team, so Vidales had to charge through the field in the races. The first event took place on Saturday and David had to settle for a low 13th on the grid, but thanks to a very aggressive drive he landed in 8th place through the finish line. A subsequent penalty imposed on two other drivers meant that Vidales was eventually promoted to sixth. The second qualifying/race scheme on Sunday proved to be very much similar to the previous day as Vidales started from sixth row on the grid and then worked his way to seventh in the race. He now runs fifth overall in the series (having missed a full round, i.e. two races, with comparison to ogher drivers) and will do his very best to look good in the final round at Paul Ricard, France.
