Monaco, December 3 – Monaco Increase Management driver Pascal Wehrlein was back to work in his Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E car in a three-day testing session at Valencia’s Circuito Ricardo Tormo, ahead of the start to Season 8 of the full-electrically powered racing series.
All along the session, Pascal showed an encouraging pace, often staying within the top 5 drivers in the time sheets and wrapping up the session with a best lap time of 1min25sec895 which was fifth fastest in the last 6-hour run on Wednesday and only two tenths shy of Edoardo Mortara’s best time on the 4 Kilometers permanent course.
“It has been a long break and I took advantage of it for recharging my batteries and intensify my fitness training, but I could not wait to get back in the car. Of course, we spent a lot of time in the simulator since October, but driving on a racetrack is something completely different”.
Pascal was happy to come back to his favorite #94 racing number, which he had been forced to abandon in the last season. “Very simply, 94 is my birth year and has always been my number since I started racing. This year someone else had it, but as it became available back again, we grabbed it!”.
