MIM driver concludes two days of positive testing in Barcelona and looks forward to Round 2 of FIA F3
Monaco Increase Management David Vidales has put another 157 laps of precious experience under his belt, by taking part in a two-day collective testing session at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, and now looks forward to the next racing weekend in Imola, a track where he won his first ever car races in 2020 and took another win last year in the F.Regional by Alpine series. Now a F3 driver for Campos Racing, Vidales describes his future challenge coming up this weekend: “Imola is probably one of the most difficult tracks in the season, driving-wise. Having already raced and won there definitely adds up to my confidence, and that’s what you need in order to be fast from the start and extract all the potential from the car. Our target for this year is winning the championship, it is an ambitious one, but we have to strive for that”. During the Barcelona session, which consisted of four different legs over two days, Vidales was consistently among the Top 10 fastest drivers, both in fast lap simulations and long-runs. Now he can’t wait to race at Imola, “one of the most beautiful, history-laden circuits in the calendar”.
