WEHRLEIN RETURNS TO THE TOP OF THE STANDINGS WITH HOME PODIUM IN BERLIN

May 3, 2026

MIM-contracted Pascal Wehrlein delivered a strong drive on home soil to secure third place in Race 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Berlin, reclaiming the lead of the drivers’ standings in the process.

After a challenging Saturday, the German bounced back in style at Tempelhof, executing a solid and strategic race to fight his way onto the podium behind race winner Mitch Evans and Oliver Rowland.

This result sees Wehrlein move back to the top of the championship with 101 points, narrowly ahead of Evans on 98 and Edoardo Mortara on 93, as the title battle intensifies heading into the next rounds.

“It’s always special to be on the podium at home,” said Wehrlein. “To leave Berlin leading the championship again is a great feeling, but we know there is still a long way to go.”

The next stop for the championship will be Monaco, with Rounds 9 and 10 taking place on 16 and 17 May — a home event for MIM , adding even more significance to the upcoming weekend.
