MIM-contracted Pascal Wehrlein opened the new Formula E season in outstanding form, securing pole position for today’s São Paulo E-Prix after a commanding and confident performance throughout Qualifying.
Wehrlein topped his Group, progressed strongly through the Duels and defeated Jake Dennis in the Final with an impressive 1:09.812 lap — earning his third consecutive pole at this Brazilian venue. Although he must serve a three-place grid penalty for wheelspin when exiting the pit lane, he keeps the three points for pole and will start from fourth position.
The German driver showed speed and control all session long, reaffirming his strength at this circuit and beginning the 2025/26 campaign as the leader of the Drivers’ World Championship.
Lights out is scheduled for 14:00 local time, with Wehrlein aiming to convert his strong qualifying form into another top result.
