Monaco Increase Management driver Lirim Zendeli took home a fifth and a fourth place at the iconic Circuit of the Americas as the USF Pro2000 series resumed activities after a long break. Zendeli had qualified his #10 TJ Speed Motorsports car in fifth place during Saturday’s session and moved from that position in the first race, which proved to be quite uneventful, so that the Albanian flag carrier kept true to his starting position. Race 2 was a different story in that Lirim was able to charge through the field to P4 and the points collected allowed him to jump to fourth overall in the points standings with 225 points.
Here’s how the MIM driver commented a positive weekend: “In the first race I had new tires and was going to make improvements from P5 on the grid but because of the safety car could not take advantage of the fresh rubber. Still, we learned something and could set up the car better for the second race. I was one of the few to start on used tires but yet I managed to go from P9 to P4. I think I really extracted the maximum from this weekend, it’s just a shame we had no trophies!”.
