After visiting the Albanian capital city of Tirana for promotional events last week, MIM driver Lirim Zendeli was back at work on track for a two-day testing session with TJ Motorsports’s USF Pro 2000 car at Sebring.
The Florida road course is built on a former WW2 bomber airport and is notoriously hard for both cars and drivers because of its rough road surface. At the end of the session, Zendeli emerged as second fastest with a best personal lap time of 1min59sec217 in Thursday’s morning session.
As is always the case with this kind of tests, all cars ran on different programs, but even so Lirim’s performance was definitely impressive as he was consistently among the fastest drivers and he reported that he could have further improved his performance with less fuel on board.
The preparation goes on with only three weeks to go before the opening round of St.Petersburg in the first weekend of March.
